What do I need in order to use TruGrid?
In order to use TruGrid, you need to register and validate your domain ownership. Then you can start using our Device Management product. For our Secure RDP product, you need to also install our TruGrid Cloud Connector agent to connect your environment to our cloud service.
How difficult is TruGrid to setup?
TruGrid is very simple to setup and use. It takes about 10-20 minutes. For Service Providers, it takes about 10-20 minutes for each additional client network added.
Who uses TruGrid?
How does TruGrid secure access to Active Directory?
TruGrid secures access to Active Directory by contacting your Active Directory domain only after a successful validation against employee phone tokens. Moreover, employees can use whatever phone tokens they like or that their companies approve. This makes your Active Directory system very secure. If you would like to utilize the Push Authentication functionality of TruGrid, you will need to use our free TruGrid Authenticator mobile application, however, this is optional to utilize.
What types of changes do I need to make to our firewalls in order to use TruGrid?
None. This is possible because our Cloud Connector creates a secure private tunnel from your network to TruGrid.
What are the system requirements?
For the server that will host the TruGrid Sentry agent we recommend you utilize a server with Windows Server 2016 installed (although we can support from Windows 2008 R2+), that is fully patched with Windows OS patches, has at least 8GB of RAM and a dual CPU.
This server can be a physical or virtual server. This server can be located on-premises or in a cloud network.
The server should be reporting into a Windows Active Directory.
For desktops you are connecting from, they should be at least Windows 7+ operating systems. We recommend Windows 10. Mac OS X is also supported.
There are no other requirements beyond this. All other components are hosted by TruGrid in our cloud environment.
