This policy explains how TruGrid uses cookies and similar technologies on trugrid.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, and help site owners understand how the site is used. Similar technologies such as local storage and pixels serve comparable purposes.

Categories we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function and to remember your cookie choice. These are always active and do not require consent. The site stores your consent decision in your browser local storage (key tg_consent_analytics).

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the site, deployed through Google Tag Manager. The Tag Manager container itself loads on every visit, since it is what applies your consent choice to the tags it manages. You control this category with one choice, in the cookie banner or on the Cookie Preferences page.

• Google Analytics 4 runs on every visit regardless of your choice. If you decline, no cookie is set and no persistent identifier is created for you, but an anonymous, cookieless signal, including the page URL, referrer, your IP address, and browser user agent, is still sent to Google as part of the page request, for aggregate measurement and modeling. This signal cannot be linked to you across sessions or devices.
• Microsoft Clarity only runs if you accept. If you decline, it does not load or receive any data from your visit.

Advertising

We use Google Ads and the LinkedIn Insight Tag for ad measurement and retargeting, also deployed through Google Tag Manager. This is a separate choice from Analytics above, controlled independently on the Cookie Preferences page.

• Google Ads runs on every visit regardless of your choice. If you decline, no cookie is set and no persistent identifier is created for you, but the same kind of anonymous, cookieless signal described above is still sent to Google, for aggregate ad measurement and modeling.
• LinkedIn Insight Tag only runs if you accept. If you decline, it does not load or receive any data from your visit.
• tg_attribution is a first-party cookie, set only if you accept Advertising. It stores which Google Ads click (if any) led you to the site, so we can tell a demo booking came from a specific ad rather than organic search. It lasts 90 days, is never set if you decline, and is deleted immediately if you later withdraw Advertising consent.

Declining Advertising is how you exercise your right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA/CPRA and similar state privacy laws. You can do this any time via the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the site footer, which takes you to the same Cookie Preferences page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a Do Not Sell/Share request and deny Advertising automatically, regardless of any other stored choice.

Functional

Some features rely on third parties that may set their own cookies when you use them:

• Crisp powers our live chat widget so you can talk to our team.
• Calendly powers demo and meeting scheduling where a booking widget or link is shown.

Embedded videos (for example YouTube or Vimeo) may also set cookies when you play them.

Managing cookies

You can change your analytics and advertising choices anytime on our Cookie Preferences page. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
